It was an immense thrill to have my monologue for INK Festival and BBC radio performed by the brilliant Jill Freud - a fabulous actor, estimable arts patron and champion, and mother of broadcaster Emma Freud (who is also the partner of screenwriter Richard Curtis). My absolutely favourite fact about Jill is that she was C.S. Lewis’s real-life inspiration for the character of Lucy in The Chronicles of Narnia.
