Some fabulous news to round off the year…my script IN OR OUT has been placed as a runner-up in the Hammond House Publishing International Literary Prize 2023! This year’s writing prompt was “Fate”, a theme that is often threaded through my scripts. A big thank you to the judges for recognising my work - I’m utterly delighted to feature in the top 3 from a record number of entries across five continents.
Launched in 2016 and sponsored by the University Centre Grimsby, the Hammond House International Literary Prize competition is now in its seventh year, attracting entries from up to 30 countries around the world. Prize winners, which were announced on the Billboard channel on Sunday 17th December 2023, will be both published in an anthology and feature in a televised award ceremony at Hammond House’s Annual International Literary Festival in February 2024.
Established in 2016 by enterprising students at the University Centre Grimsby, Hammond House began as an indie publishing company supporting aspiring writers. From its early beginnings, HH has now evolved into an impressive cluster of community organisations that support creative talent in all its forms - from publishing aspiring writers from around the world, to producing professional video content and local TV channels.
